Although this video was released a few weeks ago, we are bringing it to you now with English subs, thanks to Madam2PMsubs!

MBC Magazine1 compared two popular gems of K-pop, idol boy groups SHINee and 2PM, who both debuted last year. You can clearly see the differences, and maybe even some similarities, between the two groups in this comparison video below.

The video gets a bit more interesting near the end, as the Vogue Girl's editor shares that the boys of SHINee always show their polite side, while the boys of 2PM fool around a lot and enjoy themselves. While the 2PM boys could be a bit more professional, these uptight SHINee boys need learn to let loose once in a while.. honestly, after watching them, I have a sudden urge to go streak and run with the wild...

Kim Sun Ah to quit as actress?

No, but she recently revealed that there was a time in her life when she seriously considered quitting her job as an actress.

During the recording of KBS 2TV Entertainment Relay, actress and model Kim Sun Ah revealed, "Whenever I finished one of my works (dramas), I would feel so empty afterwards," and that, "When I didn't have work, I felt like a scarecrow, which made me want to quit acting."

Being that Kim Sun Ah is actually my favorite actress, thank goodness she didn't make the rash decision to quit!

Yoona and Nichkhun In Love

Nichkhun (2PM) and Yoona (SNSD) are in love - on the most recent episode of Star King that is. I guess Hyun Ah and Jaebeom were not the only ones that got together!

The little musical was based around the "Water Screen Show" which is basically water falling from ceiling, making all different types of shapes and even writing. Watch it, and you'll see what I mean. This Water Screen Musical titled "Love in the Rain" shows two young (very young) kids falling in love in the rain. They perform SNSD's "Gee" and Tiffany's "By Myself", and you actually see the lyrics falling down behind them!

Now, let's skip to the important part! Basically, the boy leaves to study abroad and leaves the poor girl in the rain. 10 years later though, the girl appears as SNSD's Yoona, and the boy appears as 2PM's Nichkhun! Nichkhun enters through the falling heart and reunites with his love, Yoona. Kang Ho Dong, the MC, does not let this chance go, because he interrogates Nichkhun about how he feels towards Yoona. He simply replies by saying, "GOOD!"

Girls’ Generation does Dancing Queen

Lee Dong Gun postpones enlistment again

After deferring once in May and scheduled for enlistment in July, it was revealed today that Lee Dong Gun will once again be delaying his duty to serve his nation.

The revised date for Lee Dong Gun (29) to begin serving his nation was 26th July but he had applied earlier to defer his enlistment for a year because of health reasons and has already been approved by the military recently. This will be his second deferment in the year where he was required to enlist to serve his mandatory military service.

With his enlistment being delayed for another year, there's a high chance that Lee Dong Gun would be appearing in either a drama or movie before his next call-up. He is also scheduled to have a meet the fans sesson on 20th July in Korea.

Park Eun Young has a crush on 2PM’s Nichkhun

On the July 17th episode of KBS 2TV 여유만만, announcer Park Eun Young announced to the world that she has a crush on barely legal 2PM member Nichkhun and wouldn't hesitate to accept if Nichkhun asked to be his girlfriend.

Park Eun Young, who was appointed MC for KBS Music Bank earlier this year, confessed that "if Nichkhun asked her to date him, I would immediately accept." Another announcer, Jeon Hyun Moo poked some fun and added, "If Nichkhun asked announcer Park Eun Young to marry him, she'd probably say yes right away."

Park Eun Young continued, "Even though Nichkhun is young, during Music Bank, the way he dances and sings is so sexy."

When asked on what she feels about age range in dating, Park Eun Young stated, "My parents are 9 years apart, so I think up to 7 years is possible."

I've never understood the whole concept of publicly announcing your love for another celebrity. Not only does it sound like a desperate love call, it's practically asking for a one night stand! But if that's Park Eun Young she was aiming for, she might get lucky, as Nichkhun has expressed, more than once, his interest for older women.

Most wanted star to go on summer vacation with is..

On an online survey done by Bugs from July 6th to the 13th, netizens voted SNSD / Girls' Generation's maknae Seohyun as the No.1 "star most wanted to go on summer vacation with", gathering almost 50% of the total 4130 votes casted.

To be exact, Seohyun garnered 46.83% (1934 votes), or which, in other words, means that half the voters were byunts. The runner up for this poll was Super Junior's leader Lee Teuk, not too far behind, with 31.07% (1283 votes). Third place was given to Korea's Thailand sweetie, 2PM member Nichkhun, with 13.44% (555 votes).

The remainder of the votes went to 6-year old Wang Suk Hyun (NOONA PEDOPHILES!!!), actress Shin Min Ah, and Lee Yo Won, respectively.

This is quite a random group of celebrities, from the ages ranging from 6 to almost 30! But then again, who knows how the minds of these netizens work..

Rain vs. Minwoo?

With their similar appreciation for the urban hip-hop dance style, fashion, producing / scouting talent, rumored romances to diva Lee Hyori, and attention-grasping performances. Many people would like to believe that former Shinhwa member, Lee Minwoo, and world star Rain / Bi are rivals in their craft. However, the two have cleared up this rival nonsense, stating that they're actually close friends.

The two acknowledge the successes and accomplishments both have achieved and throughout the years, developed a senior-junior relationship. Minwoo revealed that at times, whenever Rain starts feeling the heat for being the "world star" that he is, he would often encourage him. Rain would often share and state his appreciation to his sunbae saying, “Hyung when I see you, it’s like seeing Yang Hyun Suk hyung or Park Jin Young hyung. And he encourages me to become the best producer there is. Soon he will be trying his hand at being a producer too, and I hope we can both make use of our experience to become good producers.”

SHINee’s New Nanas’B CF

After heating up noonas panties everywhere, SHINee continues to please with their latest CF for nanas'B BB Cream. Noona fans would have been satisfied with just a simple new CF, but the boys up the ante with a new song and new choreography! Wonder Girls to make an appearance on The Wendy Williams show

The Wonder Girls will make an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Monday July 20th. There isn't any confirmation on this but many people have sent in tips that they saw the Wonder Girls on commercials and also Wendy Williams herself talking about The Wonder Girls on today's (July 17th) episode. According to the tips, she said something to the effect of "Wait till you hear them." From my understanding, I believe they'll have a performance but I don't know if they'll be doing an interview session.

The Wendy Williams Show first had a trial run on local Fox TV Stations in the New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Detroit markets. The show has been recently picked up by BET and can now be seen in more than 95% of the households in the United States. This is wonderful for the Wonder Girls, it's good to see them on mainstream TV. Thanks to all of you who sent in tips.

2NE1 Emerges Victorious on Music Bank

So the stage was set. Now don't get me wrong - I love Lee Seung Gi (who finished in third place), but this week's Music Bank was definitely all about the epic girl-group duel involving 2NE1's "I Don't Care" and SNSD's "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)". This time, the YG four defeated the SM nine by the slimmest of margins, 12013 to 11881. It only makes sense that 2NE1 won this week, as this is their first week on the K-Charts for "I Don't Care", so of course their track is currently hotter than "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)", which came out a while ago, and peaked at 17995 friggin' points last week. Anyway, have fun comparing & criticizing & praising & defending, everyone, and congratulations to 2NE1 on their victory!

Han Hyo Joo denies she’s in love

Han Hyo Joo has finally clarified the rumor of her being in a relationship with Kang Do Han today. She expressed that they were only good friends and were not dating at all.

Han Hyo Joo said in an interview that she got to know Kang Do Han through acquaintances four months ago. They could relate with each other very well because they were both in the acting field. Hyo Joo herself also often confides in Kang Do Han whenever she gets frustrated during her work. But it's only a oppa-dongsaeng relationship and the thought of going steady with Do Han has never once crossed Hyo Joo's mind.

2NE1’s Minzy drops out of high school

2NE1's maknae member, Minzy (Gong Minji) has revealed recently that she has now dropped out of high school and will be focusing all of her energies on her 2NE1 activities.

As the maknae member of 2NE1 and just only 15 years old, the natural route for Minzy would be to continue with a high school education after graduating from middle school. But Minzy has decided to drop out of high school and concentrate fully on 2NE1 activities. This was a decision taken by Minzy after thinking it over many times. Although she has given up on high school, she will still be studying offline and will be registering for the qualification examinations in August for her high school diploma.

This is probably a trend with YG Entertainment artistes as Big Bang members, Daesung and Seung Ri also went along the same route, dropping out of high school and then clearing their examinations successfully last year and this year respectively.

Shinee’s Onew is a coward and Taemin is in danger of being raped?

In a recent interview, a very interesting question was posed. Is Shinee's Onew a coward? The question was mostly based on the KBS light stand incident, in which Onew fainted when the fixture suddenly fell off the wall. Well, Onew's answer is simply... no. Just no, and a smart looking man wearing glasses even confirmed Onew's answer.

Perhaps what's even more interesting is that a second smart looking man commented on Taemin's feminine features. Taemin is apparently prettier than a girl, and to prove it they showed pedestrians a picture of Taemin dressed as a girl along with 5 other girls, and asked the passerby which one is the prettiest. A man unfortunately picked Taemin as the prettiest without knowing he just picked a guy.

What we've learned from this interview is that Onew is not a coward, and that Taemin is in danger of being raped by noonas AND hyungs. I guess being beautiful isn't always easy.

Child Actress, Han Ye Rin In the Heat Again

On July 7th of 2008, Han Ye Rin was caught physically abusing two classmates with the help of seven of her own posse for three hours. Han Ye Rin was only 14 years old, and she is well-known for her minor roles in popular dramas like New Heart, Seven Princesses, and Hello God, as well as roles in various movies. The reason of the physical abuse? Han Ye Rin shortened her school skirt and was afraid of getting caught, so she borrowed the skirt from one of the girls and never returned it. The owner of the skirt told the monitor, and Han Ye Rin and her short-temper garnered her friends and beat the girl up. Now, that was last year's story.

Mnet’s Superstar K teaser

The 30 second teaser for Mnet’s Superstar K was just released and since the lovely Lee Hyori will be a judge on the show, you know I’ll be watching it.

Superstar K is basically Korea’s version of American Idol with Korea’s queen of sexy Lee Hyori, ex-Boohwal vocalist Lee Seung Chul, and Korea’s Tina Turner In Sooni as judges. Korean music industry veterans such as Hyori's fellow Family Outing family member Yoon Jong Shin, and funny man Gil of the hip hop duo Leessang plus others will be judging on various episodes of Superstar K as well. Over 70,000 people auditioned for Superstar K, the largest amount of people to ever participate in an audition in Korea, and auditions took place in major cities all over South Korea including but not limited to Incheon, Daegu, Busan, and of course Seoul. Mnet’s Superstar K will begin airing on the 24th of July, naturally on Mnet.

Davichi and Seeya Ditched T-ara’s Jiyeon to Form New Project Group?

In an unusual collaboration, Seeya and Davichi have both joined Hong Jin Young to perform the remix of her trot song "Love's Battery". They even wore matching outfits that were reminiscent of the outfits from the Seeya, Davichi and Jiyeon's project group. Possibly a new project group in the making? The more the merrier I say. SNSD’s Triumph on SBS Inkigayo

Finishing off the seemingly inevitable Music Bank & Inkigayo mutizen double, SNSD emerged victorious on this week's edition of SBS Inkigayo with their hit single "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)".

Appearing regal in their nutcracker-esque outfits, the nine genies did their first headmic performance of "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" on any music show. Since the choreography looks just fine with regular handmics, I'm not sure why the Inkigayo producers decided to use headmics, since they considerably hamper the vocals - especially Taeyeon's climactic ad-libs.

Speaking of Taeyeon, the leader was visibly tearing up during the encore, which is odd only because she doesn't usually tear up so strongly during SNSD's victories. See for yourself, in this upload from CodeMonmonSeason3:

Strangely, it's hard to tell whether her tears are those of joy or those of pain. And where there's mysterious pain, there's speculation. And where there's speculation, there are netizens. "Taeyeon cried" is already the #8 search on naver as of 5:05am (EST, July 12th), barely an hour after the event. For now, I guess all we can do is sit tight and let the Internet do its thing.

Unmasking Kpop’s Most Expensive Face?

4minute has done countless promotional activities and televised performances, but I still do not know what the heck Jiyoon looks like. Actually, unless you are a hardcore 4minute fan, and you've somehow dug up pre-debut pictures of Jiyoon, chances are you don't know what she looks like either. Jiyoon's trademark is never taking off her shades, and she's got that shiet on lock down. 4minute's Jiyoon probably has the most expensive face out of all the kpop rookies, because seeing her without her shades is like trying to unmask batman, or rather batgirl, it's just not gonna happen.

However, all that is no more. A clip of Jiyoon dancing during her pre-debut days has surfaced, and pre-debut means pre-shades? I was so excited that I almost flipped out and drop kicked my monitor. Unfortunately, even though she's not wearing shades, her bangs served as a makeshift pair of shades by covering most of her eyes. Sneaky, just how I like it. Although her face was still mysterious, at least we got to see her dance. Jiyoon flaunted her femininity as she danced to Girlicious's "Stupid Shit". I was curious as to why she never showed her face before, but anyone that can dance like that does not need to in my book.

SNSD’s Colossal Music Bank Victory

While most K-pop followers expected SNSD to emerge victorious on the KBS Music Bank K-Charts for their single "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)", few expected a margin of victory of this magnitude. Accumulating 17,995 points, the SM nonagon early doubled the 9,651 points of the second place finisher, Korean music legend Seo Taiji. 17,995? That's insane! The highest number people can remember is DBSK's 16,404 points for "Mirotic", but because the Music Bank point system has evolved countless times throughout the years, it's pointless to compare the two (even though telling commenters to refrain from comparing is like asking Xiah Junsu to refrain from being awesome).

With sensually militaristic blue outfits and a typically tight performance, the So Nyuhs granted S♥NE wishes with a good show for their eleventh Music Bank victory of the year. The victory speech and encore contained few tears; winning just isn't as emotional the eleventh time around, I suppose. There were the usual highlights though, from the camera panning away just as Taeyeon and Tiffany were about to hug (party pooper), to the traditional chucking-of-the-bouquet-into-the-crowd from Yuri, though from her reaction, it seems she hit an unsuspecting spectator. Come on Yuri, did your baseball experiences teach you nothing? SHINee's diva Key also can't seem to tear himself away from the girls - perhaps his participation in Boys Generation was simply an indicator of his desire to become the tenth So Nyuh. The wait is finally over. 2NE1 is back on Music Bank with single "I Don't Care" and "Pretty Boy".

With the girls sporting new looks they first performed "Pretty Boy", followed by their single "I Don't Care". While the performance wasn't perfect, it was still of a very high standard. I'm now even more disappointed that they will only be performing once a week, because simply tonight's performance was just that hot.

With the the release of the "I Don't Care" MV yesterday and now tonight's performance, I can safely say 2NE1 has a winner on their hands. While they weren't up for the #1 spot on tonight's show, it wouldn't be hard to imagine this time next week with a win.

2PM to have joint stage performance with 4minute

Popular idol group 2PM and rookie group 4minute will come together for a joint stage special dance break performance.

Although the superb seven of 2PM have had a tight schedule to their recent promotions in Thailand, nevertheless, they have put in their utmost effort and preparation to make this upcoming performance a "10 out of 10".

I've definitely been a fan of 4minute's song "Hot Issue", but if those girls lay their hands or even fingernails on my boys, I might just have to karate chop their faces off. I don't mess around!

F.T Island Cross & Change MV Teaser Out!

So in addition to seeing the new teaser, we know the comeback single for these boys! Their title track is 바래 (I hope) and it's got me pumped! No words, just awesome instrumentals. However, when I first laid eyes on the teaser, I thought of that one scene in the Wonder Girls "Nobody" MV. The fact that it's a retro concept doesn't help that fact. What separates this video from the other is that the little kids you see in the video are actually supposed to be the younger counterparts of the FT Island boys. We know the boy playing Seunghyun will be played by Kim Heon Jae.

V.O.S Leader Park Jihun is a Father And Husband!

“I want to confidently reveal that I have a four year old child and a wife.”

Talented vocal group V.O.S, Voice of Soul’s, leader, Park Jihun, recently revealed that he is the father of a four year old child and has a wife whom he has loved for the past 17 years. On the 9th, Park Jihun revealed to the press the reason why he couldn’t reveal the truth and talked about the love story with his wife, Seo Myungsun, and about himself being a father.

Park Jihun met his wife during the third year of middle school and started off as pen pals. Their parents did oppose of them once but after receiving the blessing of both families, the two had a normal plan to get married but because of Park Jihun’s debut to be a singer, the wedding had to be postponed.

During October of 2005, after finding out about his wife’s pregnancy, the elders wished for the family to stay together and got them a single room home in Hapjungdong, Seoul. Park Jihun’s mother who lived in Daejun didn’t wish for this event to affect his career so she came to live with the family and took care of the wife.

During June of 2006, the family welcomed a new born son into the family and named his son Bitchan, holding the meaning of “Shine Brilliantly.” But during this time, Park Jihun was busy doing activities and afraid that his company and V.O.S might become a target, therefore he had to hide the truth.

Because of her husband’s busy schedule, Seo Myungsun had to be an unwedded mother. Other than having to sign a marriage registration, the two had to sign son Bitchan’s birth report before passing Myungsun’s entry into the family. The child who recently turned four started attending a playschool since June. At the school there was an event where parents were to attend but because Myungsun was labeled an unmarried mother, he could not participate at the event.

“I couldn’t easily confess the truth due to my career as a singer and the fact someone could target my company and group. But as Bitchan’s father, I wanted to be supporting husband. I met a new company who warmly embraced me when I revealed my story. They blessed my scared heart and gave me confidence. That is the reason why I am strongly revealing the truth.”

“I want to reveal the truth to Bitchan’s friends that he indeed does have a father and I want to dress the woman who has waited for me for so long in a wedding dress so I could stop sinning.”

Wow, I would like to give a late congratulation to Park Jihun for his son and I can’t help but to respect him even more for revealing such a huge truth and for having such a great heart as a husband and father.

Well this heart-warming news aside, Park Jihun is planning on holding his wedding towards the end of the year and in August, he will be welcoming in his second child. So congratulations to Park Jihun and be happy!

G-Dragon and New Miss Korea Sitting In A Tree

No, no. They aren't k-i-s-s-i-n-g. But they are, in fact, very good friends! After Kim Joo Ri won her title as the 2009 Miss Korea Jin, netizens whipped out their stalking skills and found out that G-Dragon of Big Bang and Kim Joo Ri are very good friends. YG Entertainment confirmed the fact by saying, "After checking with G-Dragon who is currently in Japan right now, it is confirmed that he is friends with Kim Joo Ri. Nothing other than their friendship was confirmed, but he did tell us that they have not been in contact due to busy schedules."

Another Win for 2PM’s “I Hate You”

Hot boy group 2PM had their third win for their "I Hate You" promotions yesterday night on M! Countdown.

I'm proud of these boys - When they ended their "Again & Again" promotions to move onto "I Hate You" promotions, many of us thought that it would be the end of their wins, due to the comebacks of many other groups and artists.. But the boys have definitely proved us wrong. While they have been in Thailand the past week, meeting the Prime minister, representing the "I Love Thailand" campaign, and even planting trees, these boys have showed us that they are a group that won't easily be forgotten.

The superb seven's "I Hate You" were faced up against SNSD / Girls' Generation's "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" with both groups MIA due to their busy schedules. Check out their win below!

On a side note, 2PM will finally be taking a long-deserved break from all promotions on the 19th. But don't be too sad - like how they have mentioned before, the boys will be preparing for their new single / album which will hopefully come out this Fall!

More than 8000 attend Big Bang’s Yoyogi Park Event

On June 25th, more than 2000 people tried to fit inside a 400 person venue for Big Bang's "My Heaven Event." This time around they got smart and held it outside at Yoyogi Park, and the turnout was even bigger this time around. More than 8000 fans attended Big Bang's Live Event at Yoyogi Park in Japan. Anyone who displayed their Japanese singles of either "My Heaven" or "Gara Gara Go" were allowed free entrance to the event.

Even though the weather wasn't cooperating with a lot of rain, fans still stood by patiently waiting to see Big Bang perform. Big Bang performed a total of 4 songs including both "My Heaven" and "Gara Gara Go." They also announced they will be releasing a new Japanese full album on August 19th titled "BIG BANG", which shares the same date as their official debut at the YG Family concert, held on August 19, 2006 at the Gymnastics Arena in Seoul Olympic Park. Big Bang also stated that they will be releasing a "Best of 2006-2009" compilation album which will include all their past hits.

T-ara to debut on “Radio Star”

MNet's girl group T-ara will be making their musical debut on the variety show "Radio Star", since they seem to be too cool for just regular music shows. Since they're debuting on a variety show, this gives the girls a chance to do something other than performing and showing off their vocal prowess. In addition to their debut stage, T-ara will give viewers their inside scoop of their trainee lives, dirt on their families, and what they do for fun as regular girls. The fun just doesn't stop there. The girls also plan to reveal a teaser for their MV. So when is all this happening you ask? July 29 begins the series of debut stages for T-ara. The following Thursday, the girls will appear on MNet's M! Countdown.

At least they know when and where they're going to debut. Now I wish they could just pick a concept and give us a song.

Second and Third Episodes of SS501 Drama MV

Reaction to the first time I saw the picture was 'Wow, he really does look like a young Kang Dong Won'. Reaction to after I found out that it was girl was 'What. The. Fuck.' Three ladies all wore the same yellow chiffon dress to different occasions - The dress is probably most well-known for its appearance on Boys Over Flower. Do you guys remember the dress? It was the auction dress that Goo Hye Sun was forced to wear by F4. Shortly after the episode aired, Yoona of SNSD / Girls' Generation garnered attention by wearing the same dress to a music video release press conference. Adding on to that, just today, Woo Hee Jin wore the dress to her drama release press conference! F.T Island is making a comeback with their 3rd studio album titled "Cross & Change". The album contains 12 fresh tracks of a seemingly new music style that range all the way from generic passionate ballads to happy-go-lucky pop songs. And not only have they been sharpening up their musical talents, they have decided to give their wardrobe an upgrade as well. While I was sitting here wondering if this retro trend will ever end, F.T Island is bringing back the "jeans jeans" 80's fashion trend along with their upcoming album, whatever that is. They promise to show a different side of themselves through their appearance and their music and hope to please both your eyes and ears.

Their music is always something I've looked forward to, and when they say "new music style", I hope they mean it. I'm at the point where I feel all their songs are starting to sound the same... Brown Eyed Girls Releases Candy Man

Chinese “Boys Over Flowers” trailer released

So the trailer and first single off the OST for the Chinese version of "Boys Over Flowers" has been released and I can't for the life of me understand why someone would want to watch this drama let alone remake it.

This time around the famous F4 will be curiously re-named "H4." I can only hope that it stands for "Hot-4" because even though I remember people were giving the Chinese F4 a lot of flack in the looks department, now that I've seen these photos, I actually think they're pretty hot. The drama is supposed to premiere in August of this year on Hunan TV.

Girls’ Generation Tiffany Love Bleeds On SimSimTapa Radio

Earlier today, SNSD / Girls’ Generation were guests on SimSimTapa Radio hosted by comedian Kim Shinyoung and Super Junior’s Shindong. The radio broadcast was caught on bora, viewable radio, and we got to catch the girls as they had fun on the radio.

SNSD’s Tiffany sang a cover of Leona Lewis “Bleeding Love” and all I could say is Tiffany needs rest. Our eye-smile girl sang well but she slightly cracked and sounded weak in several parts. I guess the Genie promotions have got to her and made her tired. But on the other hand, the rest of the girls seems pretty pumped up as they're having a blast laughing and fooling around while Tiffany is passionately singing. Sooyoung and Yoona are so silly!

"In Japan we’re TOHOSHINKI, in Korea we’re TVXQ. While those two are actually similar, yet somehow it feels different, but while we’re doing long activities the two names get closer and closer bit by bit. When we did the Japanese debut, we were already popular in Korea, yet we were still no one in Japan. Honestly, at first we were confused of it. Also the system of the two companies are different. In Korea, after 1 album is released in a year, afterwards by several month promo activities are done, but in Japan, we have been busy to do the whole promo activities even from a year before. When we hold concert in Korea and are singing ballad, audiences are singing together in a big voice, but the Japanese tend to stay still and are listening quietly. At first when I saw them quiet, I was in shock, didn’t my song reach them? But now I understand that it’s all because the different culture and everyone is actually the same (in excitement) so it’s all right.My dream as the time passing, is to continue singing nice songs which remain in memory of people. “I feel the charm of song that has many secrets”

I self learned piano as I always love the sound of piano since I was young. When work ends, I would just sit down in front of piano, and the melody is coming down naturally to my mind, it’s my way to relieve stress. Writing lyrics and composing are things I used to do by my own will, but now when it reaches the point where everyone requests me to do that, I feel a little pressure (laughs). When composing ballad song about love lost, it’s often that the song is written based on self-experience. But for me, instead making the whole of it based on experience, I tend to compose it a half by experience and half by fiction. OST of movies is personally one I like to listen. In the tour that started in May, Junsu was injured by accident, but it’s being so delightful to see the increasing number of audiences. Our male fans in Japan are also more than ones we have in Korea, it really becomes encouragement to us. TOHOSHINKI songs are also now broaden from anime songs to dance songs, and as the range is so wide, even in the concert we received audiences from children to adults. The fan base is wider compared to one in South Korea. Even though now we’re accepted in Japan, honestly I still have lack of confidence. Big Bang released their new Japanese Single "Gara Gara Go" yesterday and simultaneously the release of the Korean version and music video.

The Korean Music music video version is pretty much the same as the Japanese version, it does contain a few new shots / scenes from various angles that wasn't included in the Japanese version. Big Bang - Gara Gara Go debuts at Number 3

Big Bang released their "Gara Gara Go" Japanese single today and it debuted at Number 3 on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart with a sales figure of 10,889 units. This is an improvement over their debut at number 4 with "My Heaven" two weeks ago. Even though they still have a long way to go, it's still pretty impressive. Congratulations to Big Bang.

Weight Lifting with “Bronze Medalist”

Bronze Medalist is a recently released sports drama movie. Lee Ji Bong, played by Lee Bum Soo, is the main protagonist based on a true story of a weightlifter who breaks his arm during the 1988 Seoul Olympics and is rewarded the Bronze medal. He retires as a weight lifter due to an injury and then takes on the job as a coach at an all girls middle school. He coaches these group of girls to a record breaking performance of 14 gold medals out of 15 at the 81st National Sports Festival in 2000. Till this day, no one has broken such record.

The six girls include: Young Ja (Jo An), Hyeon Jeong (Jeon Bo Mi), Soo Ok (Lee Seul Bi), Bo Young (Kim Min Young), Min Hee (Lee Yoon Hoi), and Yeo Soon (Choi Mun Gyeong).

Weightlifting was generally ignored in South Korea until Sa Jae-Hyouk and Jang Mi-Ran recently won gold medals at the Beijing Olympics for weightlifting. Bronze seems like it's a charming movie.

2NE1 Finishes The Day On Top Of The Charts

As of 5 PM in Korea, 2NE1's first mini-album was firmly at the top of both the Hanteo chart and the Cyworld chart, making day one of their sales a definite success.

But who really is surprised? With 50,000 pre-orders it wasn't a hard guess that the girls would be on top today. The more relevant question is, can they remain at the top? Will we be seeing them in one week, still at the top? While there is a good chance that they might be, the girls will need to have a stellar comeback tomorrow on Music Bank to ensure it.

SHINee’s Taemin is Hot For Tutor

When he's not manipulating his dexterous fingers or showing off his Ronald McDonald perm, one can find SHINee's maknae Taemin on the MBC sitcom "Tae-Hee, Hye-Gyo, Ji-Hyun". On the cheesy-ish show, he plays Junsu, a parent's dream with impeccable grades and impeccable manners. But in the first seventy-or-so episodes, the 1993-er only appeared for 1-2 minutes an episode, if at all, due to rather wooden acting that revealed his inexperience. Somehow resisting the urge to start singing "Noona Neomu Yeppeo (Replay)", Taemin/Junsu later finds out that his uncle is starting to date the tutor. The jealous student engages in some sabotage in episode 87:

and finally ends up going on a semi-date with his tutor, which would be cute if it wasn't so pedo. Considering the tutor's glazed eyes at the end of the following cut, this storyline might start leaning towards some illegal actions.

After three previous transformations, T-ara has just released another concept known as the "UGLY DOLL."

What is the point of this? Where's the song? And how many more concepts will Mnet Media go through with these girls? One things for sure, they've definitely nailed Ugly on the head... I've listened to atheist arguments from nearly every source; from Richard Dawkins to Penn Jillette to my college roommate. But this is the best evidence I've ever seen for the absence of a God.

Big Bang “Gara Gara Go” Single RELEASED!

With much delight, I'm happy to inform Big Bang fans everywhere that the boys have finally released their latest single album for Gara Gara Go! The single album is filled with a whole 3 tracks, but I'm sure that won't discourage anybody. What is discouraging, at least for me, was that one of the tracks happened to be "Stylish", and it's not even in Japanese. Did anyone else wonder why this song made the list? Oh well, can't complain, I suppose. All the songs are very upbeat and dance inducing tracks that are bound to please.

Gara Gara Go!

At first I considered this track to be trite, but for me, it just took a couple of playbacks to have it grow on me. The choreography was just too good to pass up. A perfect match to the upbeat tempo of the track.

A track with a great beat that could get anybody pumped. It's definitely stand out track. Shying away from extreme techno that we've been hearing recently, the boys are trying something new. AND THANK GOD! How refreshing to know they aren't stuck to one genre. Always changing. Mad props to the boys. With a different feel and sound, it just shows that Big Bang's still got it baby. Arguably the best track of the three.

St. Day Releases “Balinese”

So who's this St. Day now? Yes.. another debuting artist, this time from Haruwana (하루와나) Productions. St. Day, or Bang Dae Young (방대영), released his first single, Balinese, on July 7th. The single has two tracks: Afraid and 하루처럼 (Like A Day). To no surprise, this fella here is also in the genre of hip-hop. He has not been too exposed to mainstream circles yet, but he has been featured on PK Heman's album back in 2007 and KCM's album in 2008.

There has already been a MV release for Afraid, featuring 'Baby and Me' actress Kim Byul. I'm feeling the song, but I'm def not digging that fishnet and all that eyeliner. His style and hair kinda reminds me of Hwanhee from Fly to the Sky when he was in the drama 'Over The Rainbow.' And some others are saying his voice has a semi-resemblence to Rain. I don't quite know about that... but check him out!

After School Joo Yeon’s small role in K-Movie

Joo Yeon was spotted as a Japanese waitress in the following scene in 2007 K-Movie My Tutor Friend Lesson II which starred Park Ki Woong and Lee Chung Ah. For someone who normally looks so cute and innocent, I couldn't believe she was able to fit the role so well. With all that makeup on, I couldn't even recognize her! Behind the Scenes with Big Bang’s Gara Gara Go

With Big Bang's "Gara Gara Go" officially being released shortly on July 8th, 2009, a behind the scenes video has been released for their recently released MV.

The boys are seen in the makeup room, performing on set, and also briefly talk with the camera in the break room. In the video, Taeyang states that's he's thrilled that they're releasing their second Japanese single and that Gara Gara Go should be a good, fun song for the summer.

2NE1’s going for quality over quantity with ‘I Don’t Care’

As they did with their debut single ‘Fire,’ 2NE1 plans on performing their new single ‘I Don’t Care’ on one music program, only once a week.

YG Entertainment, once again, doesn’t want to take the standard “same choreography but different outfits” route that most idol groups take when they perform on multiple music programs. Instead, YG wants to have 2NE1 perform ‘I Don’t Care’ on only one music program a week with different choreography for each performance, which the girls will diligently practice the whole week leading up to their performances.

2NE1’s 1st mini-album will be released on the 8th of July and their comeback performance will take place on KBS’s Music Bank on July 10th. For their Music Bank comeback performance, 2NE1 will be singing ‘I Don’t Care’ as well as ‘Pretty Boy.’

The one performance a week method that YG has adopted for 2NE1 is simple, yet brilliant. Fans appreciate 2NE1’s music show appearances more and it makes their performances truly special because of the quality over quantity factor plus it builds up a monstrous mountain of hype for 2NE1. I’m really looking forward to 2NE1’s comeback on Music Bank this week and I’m curious to see what pedotastic dance moves Minzy has to offer this time around. The pedo-force is strrrooonnng with this one. Wait a second… What am I saying? Minzy is slowly moving me over to the dark side of the pedo-force and I’m not too comfortable with it. Battle goes on hiatus

Battle member, Lio has enlisted in the army today, without much fanfare, following in the footsteps of fellow group member, Hwi Chan who enlisted on 2nd June.

Lio reported for the 306 reserve army unit in Euijeongbu today and will receive a few weeks of basic military training before commencing on his mandatory national service.

Many were curious as to why Hwi Chan and Lio enlisted for the army so quickly despite their young age, which was unusual for being part of a male idol group. With regards to this, Good Entertainment expressed, "We feel that it's better to get this mandatory national service over and done with first for them." The other 3 members are also going their separate ways. Ryu will be going into the acting field, Taehwa will release a solo album while Chris is back in New York, studying music. Good Entertainment has also reiterated that Battle are not disbanding, just on a temporary hiatus.

Battle made their debut in 2006 through Mnet's reality show, Let's Coke Play! Battle Shinhwa! and was hailed as the 2nd Shinhwa, having been picked individually by Shinhwa themselves. But they struggled to make any sort of impact in Korea and the 6 member group was left with five after Ki Hyun left in 2008 to pursue an acting career. Step by Step released in June 2008 will be Battle's last song release in a long while.

Learn Korean with Bae Yong Joon on Nintendo DS

Ever wanted to learn the Korean language on your Nintendo DS but couldn't? Well fret not, for you can now learn the Korean language together with actor, Bae Yong Joon in a new language software for the Nintendo DS system called, Learn Korean with Bae Yong Joon DS.

The structure of Learn Korean with Bae Yong Joon DS includes 30 minutes of Korean speaking, listening, writing and practical conversation, providing users with a complete package for picking up the Korean language.

Bae Yong Joon will appear as a cartoon character in the software to act as a guide to help users navigate the system. The voiceovers in the software were all done by Bae Yong Joon personally and it would be like having a 1-on-1 learning experience with the man himself. Photos and videos of the real Bae Yong Joon will also appear at different stages to encourage the user. Learn Korean with Bae Yong Joon DS also includes TOPIK (Korean proficiency test) to gauge their standard, interesting and practical mini-games so that users can have a happy, easy time picking up the Korean language.

Pre-orders begun on 6th July.

This software will be released in Japan first on 19th September and there are plans to port this into other languages for sale in the rest of Asia and America.

Goo Hye Sun Shows Off More of Her Talents

Goo Hye Sun's uprising fame from starring in Boys Over Flowers has allowed her to express her feelings and emotions through other forms as an artist. Acting was just the leading steps to success, but there is more to her than just being on the screen as she shows off more of her talents

Early on in April Goo Hye Sun had released her first novel, "Tango." selling over 30,000 copies and went into the seventh printing in the first week. And now she's having her very own solo exhibition, showing forty of her drawings, at Gallery La Mer, Insa-dong. Those who have read "Tango" have already been introduced to to some of her works.

Artists are often influenced inspired by other artists and for Goo Hye Sun, her role model is Leonardo Da Vinci. Her admiration for Da Vinci started when her teacher introduced her to the book, "Think Like Da Vinci." From there on she realized that she can do a lot in her life time which allowed her to muster up the confidence she has today to have this exhibition.

Goo Hye Sun spends an hour or two at her home studio everyday to create new pieces of art. Besides the artwork that's already been shown in Tango, some of her work is featured in Gummy's fourth album.

Her co-stars from Boys Over Flowers, Lee Min Ho and Kim Jun, have already showed their support for her at the opening of her exhibition. She is hoping that those who haven't already to visit and check out all her artwork. She has collaborated with the WITH campaign and decided to donate the proceeds of the exhibition to them.

Acting, writing, drawing... this artist is full of many surprise talents. What's it up next for her? Dancing? Directing?

In fact, directing has already come along for Goo Hye Sun as well. Featured in the Busan Asian Short Film Festival, she wrote and directed a short film called "The Cheerful Caretaker." She is currently working on another script for another film, this time full- length.

There is so much coming up with Goo Hye Sun... I just really don't know what to expect for next. I hope her acting career is enough to help her support the road to the rest of her dreams.

T-ara’s Soyeon was supposed to be an SNSD member?

Recently, Mnet released pictures of the now 6-member girl group T-ara, revealing two new members. However, pictures of one of them, Soyeon, with Girls’ Generation/SNSD members have surfaced - leading many to believe that Soyeon was originally an SM trainee.

These pre-debut pictures of the SNSD members with Soyeon have made netizens come to the conclusion that Soyeon was one of the members SM was considering in their rumored 11 member girl group, which is now 9 member SNSD.

Obviously SM Entertainment has nothing to regret about, due to SNSD's immense popularity, but I’m still wondering how T-ara will do once they debut this month.

Big Bang Gets Nothing But Praise

For Big Bang's latest single 'Gara Gara Go' the boys worked with Shaun Evaristo for their choreography. In his most recent blog entry, Shaun has been nothing but full of praise for the boys.

Shaun who has also worked with 2NE1, described the boys as the 'definition of professional'. Shaun also revealed that Big Bang only had two sessions with him before flying back to Korea. While the choreography that is shown in the MV isn't exactly the same as the one he gave the boys, Shaun describes 'how the fellas always put their own flavor into the moves'. Lastly, he complimented the production of the MV by saying 'The MV has good color, good lighting and good editing. I love the girl choreography too, it adds the robotic feel which kinda makes it futuristic. The MV is full of life which matches their characters'.

For a group to have only two sessions with a choreographer, and to produce a MV of that standard reflects highly on the great talent of the Big Bang boys. 'Gara Gara Go' will be officially released on the 8th of July.

Who Did KARA’s Nicole Leave Flustered?

Nicole apparently left Smith (Jung Seung Hyun), who is now part of the group Gary Gold Smith, flustered after a backstage meeting.

The story goes like this, in 2007 Smith was part of the group Monster, and while backstage, one of Monster's members offered to introduce KARA to him. Apparently when Smith walked into to the waiting room Nicole said 'Ajhussi, you look pretty!'. Smith who at the time was still only 19 got quite a shock as Nicole is only 4 years younger than him.

Key suspect in Jang Ja-yeon abuse case finally found

It's about time this sicko was caught!

The manager of the late Boys Over Flowers actress Jang Ja-yeon's former management company, Kim Sung-hoon was finally apprehended and brought to Seoul on Friday from Tokyo, where he had been hiding and ignoring the "repeated requests" from the Seoul police to come back to Seoul for questioning. As left in Ja-yeon's suicide note, this was the man that received "sexual favors" from her, as well as forced her to engage in despicable acts with other "media heavyweights."

Just the mere fact that he was hiding so long and then showed up wearing a hat, sunglasses and a face mask just has guilty written all over it to me. He's obviously hiding something, but not for long. Hopefully, now that he is apprehended, justice will be served and Jang Ja-yeon will finally rest in peace.

SHINee’s 2nd Consecutive Victory on SBS Inkigayo

After last week's victory and their sixth-place finish on KBS Music Bank's 2PM-led K-chart, SHINee and SHINee World probably weren't expecting another victory on SBS Inkigayo. But, SBS's magic formula (nobody is really sure how SBS determines its victor) churned out another mutizen for SHINee, providing a most-likely final trophy for the "Juliette" promotions, as next week signals the beginning of the estrogen onslaught - SNSD, 2NE1, and 4minute.

2PM Boys Have to Start Eating More, They’re Starting to Look Like Skeletons!!

Chung Lim Has Good Taste

It seems that no one is safe from the charms of the hottest female kpop artists these day - not even rising star Chung Lim!

On KBS JOY, Chung Lim revealed that he had encountered Son Dambi at health clubs and practice rooms more than once. He stated that "I will not abandon So Nyeo Shi Dae's Tiffany.", but when challenged with the question of choosing between the two, he went on to say that he would go for the sexy soloist Son Dambi.

Chung Lim's fanboying does not end there! It turns out that he was quite the Bi / Rain fan back in the day. He went out of his way to learn everything about Rain, down to his Hong Kong concert schedule that wasn't even available for the viewing public. Chung Lim eventually had a chance to meet up with the mega star, but chickened out and only said "Hi." He does hope that he will be able to develop a strong relationship with Rain in the near future though.

Park Shi Yeon does High Cut magazine

Actress Park Shi Yeon is the next popular Korean celebrity to join what has become a star studded list of famous names whose photos have graced the pages of Korea’s High Cut magazine. Park Shi Yeon’s High Cut photoshoot took place in Bali and in two of the photos, she’s accompanied by a ~~generic~~ unnamed male model. Park Shi Yeon’s Bali photos were featured in the July 3rd issue of High Cut magazine.

In addition to the photoshoot, Shi Yeon also filmed ‘Park Shi Yeon in Bali’ for the Olive cable channel and to thank them for their hard work, she brought along and personally paid for a vacation in Bali for her staff from her agency.

To be honest, I’ve never really seen any of Park Shi Yeon’s works. The only thing I’ve ever seen her in is the K-drama On Air, but she just had a cameo role. I've seen a few of her past pics and she seems kind of hot. However, the jury is still out on Shi Yeon because I haven’t really seen any photos of her, except these High Cut pics, which were good enough for me to confidently say whether or not she is one of Korea's fine honeys. In view of the fact that she’s a regular cast member now, I think I’ll reserve my judgment of Shi Yeon until after I see her on Family Outing. I’m hoping that Park Shi Yeon and the other new cast member Park Hae Jin do a good job on the show since I’m a fan of Family Outing and I would hate to see the show go down the tubes and die a slow, agonizing death.

Taemin Shows What He Can Do With His Fingers

MBC Treats SNSD Well

The girls of SNSD are back on MBC's Music Core for their second performance of Tell Me Your Wish on the show, and MBC made sure it was spectacular. They performed Tell Me Your Wish with a new set of outfits, and the performance was preluded by a mini music video with the girls appropriately dancing to the song on a boat. The boat scene was very reminiscent of Big Bang's Always music video. Since Tiffany and Yuri are MCs for Music Core, it was only natural that this week the rest of the girls joined in as guest MCs as well. MBC knows how to treat SNSD well, unlike Mnet.

Big Bang on YG Live English Subbed

While there's no plan for a Big Bang Korean album in 2009, at least you can still watch them on YG Live. We wrote about the show earlier, but here is the Big Bang cut (because we know most of you watch it for Big Bang anyways) with English subs. It was great to see them behind the scene, shooting their Gara Gara Go music video and generally just having fun. TOP showed off his comedic side as well as his new Arnold Schwarzenegger diet. Even 2NE1 dropped by to say hi, and then watched Big Bang in awkwardness. If you're a die-hard YG fan, but you understand as much Korean as you do quantum physics, then this will be heaven for you.

No Wonder Girls nor Big Bang in 2009…

We all know about JYP's mission to make the Wonder Girls American debut a blinding success and they are now the opening acts for all but 2 of Jonas Brothers concert tour stops until the end of 2009. That effectively means no Korean albums in 2009 for Korean Wonderfuls. The same goes for Big Bang's VIPs when it was announced recently that there were no plans for a 2009 Korean album as well.

YG Entertainment's CEO, Yang Hyun Suk revealed recently that Big Bang's leader and fashionista, G-Dragon will be releasing his 1st mini-album on 18th August, coincidentally his 21st birthday. This will be followed by Tae Yang whose 2nd mini-album will be out around September - October. Daesung will also be releasing his own mini-album at the end of the year, and it was stressed that it will not be another trot album. The other 2, T.O.P and Seung Ri will be busy with their respective filming commitments.

Big Bang are currently still united though but not in Korea, promoting in Japan which started in June and will end in July. Thereafter, the individual Big Bang members will disperse to pursue their own projects. Yang Hyun Suk said, "Many are hoping to see another Big Bang album this year. But because of their Japan promotions and subsequent solo projects thereafter, it's not possible for them to do so. We hope that the fans will understand and continue to show their support for their solo projects."

No Wonder Girls nor Big Bang in 2009. The same goes for MC Mong (maybe), Lee Hyori (maybe) and others which I can't remember. The K-pop scene of 2009 looks so lonely without them. With less than 1/2 of 2009 to go, hopefully someone steps up to the plate.

IU covers Gee, Lies and Sorry Sorry

Besides Navi, IU is another solo female singer that has an incredible vocal range and she is still only 16.

In the past few weeks, IU has released a couple of UCC videos showing her in the recording studio as she covered several hit songs in recent times. On the 4th July episode of KBS2TV Yu Hui Yeol's Sketchbook, IU appeared before a highly appreciative live crowd and stunned host as she performed acoustic covers of Gee, Lies and Sorry Sorry while strumming the guitar. She did a helluva of a good job with the covers and really showed to everyone again what she is capable of.

She also performed her own songs, Boo and You Know which sounded better than the usual. Must be the live band and music equipment.. and IU.

She ended with an english song, Tamia's Almost.

Remember when we told you that Park Kyung Lim, Jang Nara, and Lee Soo Young were getting ready to do a parody of 2NE1 for Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook?

Well it's here, and from start to finish, I couldn't take the grin off my face. From their ridiculous outfits and hairdo's to the painful singing, the whole thing was a joke. A funny one at that! I have to say, I actually enjoyed these three pretty successful MC and singers make a fool out of themselves.

Watch out 2NE1 because these 30 year olds are coming for you!

Rain Not Falling for Megan Fox

Most of you already know about Megan Fox having the hots for Rain / Bi. And Knowing that Rain's dream girl was Megan Fox, I thought he would've reciprocated those sentiments, but that isn't the case. According to Yahoo! News, Rain replied plainly to her invite with "I'm not interested." The full story:

"Hollywood Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen actress Megan Fox recently openly expressed her interest in Korean star Rain and also a desire to date the latter, who replied plainly to her invite, "I'm not interested."

According to media reports, Fox has spoke numerously about her admiration for Rain while on the movie promotional tour.

And that was not just a comment made by Fox; she has indeed extended a dinner date to Rain through her manager but was rejected by the Korean star who was "not interested".

Yet, the rejection did not wound her pride and ironically, it has built up stronger interest of Rain in Fox who recently criticized the comparison of herself to Angelina Jolie.

According to reports, Fox loves such challenges and has no plans to give up. She would continue extending her invite to Rain, hoping that he would agree to meet up someday."

WTF? Are you crazy Rain? Rejecting a hottie like Megan Fox. I know Bi means Rain in Korean, but in English it means something else, and he must be Bi to reject a hot piece like Fox, because no straight man would.

TVXQ Performance of Stand By You on Music Station

TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki performed "Stand By You," today on Music Station. It wasn't too long ago when people were wondering why TVXQ were never invited to Music Station.

With TVXQ's ever increasing popularity in Japan and their previous performance on Music Station, it's become more of an afterthought.

The performance was great as usual, as with all their live performances. This is a great warm up for them just before their big concerts at the Tokyo Dome this weekend.

SNSD Wannabe Spice Girls?

On today's Super Junior's Kiss the Radio session, Tiffany, Sunny, Jessica and Sooyoung of SNSD performed a cover of the Spice Girls' smash hit "Wannabe". I think this is the first time I've heard any kpop artist cover this song, and it kind of makes you wonder why there aren't more Spice Girls covers. I mean the Spice Girls were huge back then. Although besides this song, my only other memory of them is the part in their movie "Spice World" where aliens visited earth, and greeted the girls by squeezing one of the Spice Girls' boobies. Good times. Furthermore, "Wannabe" is a catchy upbeat song, and it also sends the positive message of "chicks before di..." well, you know what goes there. "If you want to be my lover, you gotta get with my friends"? Yes please!

Overall, the cover was great, and I was very impressed with Sooyoung's and Sunny's English.

Kim Hyung Joon is Quite the Ladies’ Man

While filming for MBC's God of Cookery Expedition, SS501's Kim Hyung Joon revealed that he received confessions from 2 female artists.

As food was being prepared for them, MC Jung Joon Ha asked Hyung Joon if he had ever dated a female artist before, to which he simply replied no. The MCs then asked if he ever received any love confessions. This time, his reaction was less cool and collected and he was left too flustered to answer. With enough prying from the MCs, Hyung Joon eventually revealed that he had 2 confessions from female artists that are active in various fields of entertainment.

Kim Shin Young further fueled the fire by stating, "I think I know who she is."

Under Their Umbrellas

On a recent poll on bugs music charts, netizens were asked to choose the artist they would most like to share an umbrella with. The results are nowhere near surprising because SNSD's Jessica grabbed the number 1 spot with more than half of the votes. Some netizens even went so far as to state, "They want to give Jessica the umbrella, and get hit by the rain." Now that's love.

Happy Sunday's Lee Seung Ki got some of his own loving from netizens and nabbed the 2nd place position. Dara of 2NE1 rocked 3rd place, showing that even if she is part of a newbie girl group, they're a force to be reckoned with. 4th place was SHINee's maknae Taemin, 5th was taken by 2PM's Chansung, and last but not least was 4Minute rapper supreme Hyuna.

I know a lot of guys and gals wouldn't mind sharing their umbrellas with these stars, but what do you think? Who really should have gotten number 1?

2PM is currently in Thailand to accept their position as delegates for the "I Love Thailand" tourism campaign. Half-Thai / half-Chinese member Nichkhun is an even bigger star in his home country than he is in Korea, and 2PM's breakout success has given way for this national honor. The JYP seven met with Thailand's Prime Minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva, to receive the honor of his presence and their new titles.

UEE appearing as young Misil

After School member, UEE (Kim Yoo Jin) will soon be making her acting debut in MBC's Queen Seon Duk, as the youth version of Go Hyun Jung's Misil character.

The production team for Queen Seon Duk had decided recently that UEE will be playing the role of young Misil during flashbacks in episode 13 and 14. Following the impressive showing by Nam Ji Hyun, Shin Se Kyung as the young Deokman and Chun Myung respectively earlier on in the drama, viewers are anticipating for UEE's portrayal as she will be acting out the first love scenes of young Misil when she was 20 years old. UEE will be playing an important role in telling the story of Misil and linking it with the present evil Misil character which is being acted out with conviction by Go Hyun Jung.

Some are worried that UEE might affect the quality of the drama after former Sugar member, Park Soo Jin's lacklustre performance earlier on as the young Lady Maya. But we wouldn't know until we have seen UEE in action. UEE is currently majoring in Theatre and Drama at Sungkyunkwan University and had worked very hard during the auditions to get this role. UEE also bears a striking resemblance with Go Hyun Jung.

Episode 13, 14 will be shown on 6 and 7th July respectively next week. Queen Seon Duk is steadily on it's way to being the next Jumong if you haven't seen it yet.

Park Myung Soo warded for acute hepatitis

Park Myung Soo has been warded in hospital after being diagnosed with acute hepatitis this morning. His radio show, Park Myung Soo's Dating at 2pm was handed temporarily over to announcer, Oh Sang Jin in his absence.

According to someone from Park Myung Soo's agency, he had started to feel some discomfort since last week due to an overload in his schedule recently. Park Myung Soo had actually gone to the hospital this morning to get treated for flu but he was later diagnosed to have developed acute hepatitis, where flu is one of the symptoms. The source also revealed that from the checkup, Park Myung Soo's liver was diagnosed to be operating at an unhealthy level and a detailed report of his health status will only be out later today.

Park Myung Soo is currently being warded for further observation and it's still touch-and-go on whether he can continue working, including filming for Infinity Challenge, etc.

Brown Eyed Girls releases 1st teaser for 3rd album

In line with their despair.tear.wait.revenge concept for their previous hit song How Come, the Brown Eyed Girls are adopting a similar approach for their title track off their 3rd album which will be out on 20th July. The Brown Eyed Girls are adopting a "City Girl" concept with their first teaser titled Oasis and featuring Narsha. You can hear Narsha sing a few lines while swinging around on a swing as Miryo raps in the background in this teaser. Unfortunately for Narcia, she suffered minor leg injuries after falling off the swing during the filming. Nega Network expressed confidence that Narsha will recover in time for the Brown Eyed Girls comeback in a few weeks time.

Take A Peek Inside SHINee’s Man Bags

Out of all the bags, Key's bag looks most like a man bag but he later redeems himself by having the least girly contents. The winner of that award is none other then Taemin, but however I love that in his bag he has a beanie to cover his bright hair from the Juliette promotion. Wasn't such a good idea after all was it Taemin?

SS501 Mobbed at the HK Airport

The boys of SS501 were mobbed by overzealous fans on their recent visit to Hong Kong as they tried to exit out of the airport. Deafening high pitched screams of fan girls filled the hallway as security guards attempted to push back the crowd without bleeding from their ears. The boys of SS501 stood back, waited and watched, seemingly a little overwhelmed by the situation. It was so chaotic that if it wasn't for the SS501 fan signs, I would've thought that I was watching a fight instead.

T-ara returns

After debuting in April and a strong display of their vocals with Good Person for the Cinderella Man OST, many were expecting big things from the 5 member girl group. Afterall, they did not seem to be adopting the cute and innocent concept which most girl groups are affilated with.

But the group's debut was postponed after members, Ji Won and Ji Ae decided to leave the group in early June, citing differences in music style. Mnet Media reacted swiftly by drafting in Jeon Young Rok's daughter, Jeon Boram as a new member. New pictures released today revealed that 2 more new members, Qri and So Yeon had been added, making T-ara a 6 member girl group.

The new pictures of the 6 T-ara members were most probably inspired by Lee Jung Hyun's Joolae concept although they kind of overdosed on the use of white. Although they were donning a yellowish-white wig and baring their shoulders, T-ara looked more feminine and innocent, rather than sexy strong. Mnet Media expressed that compared to their initial bubbly young girl image, T-ara is going for a more feminine concept this time. I wonder if they will still stick to ballads or.... I think I would rather not think about it.

More of T-ara will be revealed on 7th July although I am afraid that 2NE1's comeback will most likely overshadow anything that they do. No exact dates were given but T-ara are expected to release their song in mid-July and begin their promotions in early August. Ji Yeon will have to do double duty though, promoting with T-ara and filming for her drama, Soul. Even without 2NE1, girl groups like Kara, Brown Eyed Girls and Jewelry will also be making their comebacks within this period. Let the battle begin!

I am not sure if I will still care since Ji Ae is gone.

Taemin playing the piano for Music Core

SHINee's baby Taemin will be showing off his piano skills by playing famous pianist Yiruma's 'River Flows In You'!

On July 4th, Taemin plans on showing off his skills on MBC's Show! Music Core. He wanted to show his fans his true skills instead of just the acting that he did in his sitcom. On the 18th, his 16th (in the USA)/17th (in Korea) birthday, Taemin will also be stepping up to the plate as a piano performer by playing the piano version of 8eight's 'Goodbye My Love'. Despite his very busy schedule, he is finding time to practice hard in between his other activities. I personally love Yiruma, so I can't wait to see his Music Core performance.

Tiger JK and Jordan’s Father and Son Moment

KYAA! I thought Sean's baby was cute, but Tiger JK's and Yoon Mirae (T or Tasha)'s baby's cuteness is on a totally different level! The pictures of the father, Tiger JK and his son, Jordan together were featured on Drunken Tiger's most recent album, and oh boy! So cute!! Tiger JK, who usually has a "I'm-gangster-and-you-know-it" face on is actually smiling in these pictures, and chubby little Jordan is following exactly what his daddy's doing! I'm dying here of cuteness overload guys.

Also, Jordan's cry when he was just born was recorded and featured on one of the tracks in his album!

On a side note, the ultimate hip-hop family, Yoon Mirae and Tiger JK will be peforming a duet on July 4th!

In the first picture, both Tiger JK and Jordan are showing their "tough" side, but in the second one, you can witness the happiest father-son moment! Everybody, together now, "AWWW!!"

Seo In Young Competes in a Shopping Challenge

A shopping contest? Wait...what? No, you read it right, I said shopping contest. Seo In Young was part of the June 30th shopping event in Thailand, called "Shopping Challenge". Basically, the challenge was to shop for three hours and thirty minutes around six out of nine famous shopping malls. Using 30,000 Thai baht, the goal was to buy the greatest variety of products. Now, who would be better at shopping than Seo In Young?

Actually, the challenge was quite difficult for Seo In Young because, although she loves shopping, she hates exercising and this challenge required tremendous amount walking. However, she was accompanied by her "friend" from her variety show called "Seo In Young's Shinsang Friend" who encouraged her throughout the challenge.

Oh come on. She should not be complaining about this. We would all die for the opportunity to compete by shopping!!

Lee Junki’s MV for Soliloquize

I thought J Style was the last time Lee Junki would ~~attempt to~~ sing, however, I was wrong because he's back with his second music video for Soliloquize (혼잣말).

The song sounds totally different from J Style, which was an upbeat dance song. This song is mid-tempo, softer sounding, and is much, MUCH less dramatic than J Style, which was just a little too dramatic and intense for my tastes. No Lee Junki dancing in this music video girls, sorry. However, you can concentrate more on his "singing" and focus on his pretty face!
