Super Junior Accused of Stealing

Netizens have been attacking Super Junior claiming that their latest single “Sorry, Sorry” is a rip-off of the song “Womanizer” by Britney Spears. Specifically, they claim that the repetitive use of the “sorry, sorry” hook in Super Junior’s song is way too similar in style to Britney’s “womanizer” hook in her song. A spokesperson from SM Entertainment stated that these accusations were groundless. He went on to say that it’s absurd that netizens are labeling Super Junior as plagiarizers if their only reason is because “Sorry, Sorry” has a similar type of repetitive ambiance as “Womanizer.”

I think this is obviously just another case of netizens starting shit because they’re bored and they have too much time on their hands. Super Junior shouldn’t be “sorry, sorry” for plagiarizing but they should be “sorry, sorry” for many other things like: tricking the public about losing weight, making questionable comments over the radio, or the worst of all, making out with other dudes on stage. I thought Super Junior’s actions this past year were a little shady and that was when they were not active. I’ll probably need a lobotomy to cleanse my brain after witnessing a year’s worth of Super Junior’s actions when they are active.

2013 Views Harvard Law Students interested in Girls’ Generation?

Harvard Law Students interested in Girls' Generation / SNSD? That might sound a bit crazy but its true according to Yahoo Korea.

The article states that Girls' Generation will meet up with some Harvard Law Students to teach them their popular "Gee" Dance. The Harvard students will be going to Korea on March 23rd to research Korean Culture. The scheduled meeting is to take place at SM Entertainment on March 26th.

This isn't the first time for Harvard to be interested in Korean Culture. In the past, Harvard has invited SM Entertainment CEO Lee Soo Man to lecture about the "Korean Wave" to Harvard MBA Students. They also had featured Paneled Discussions featuring JYP at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government about "Hallyu."

I think this is all pretty cool albeit random, the "Gee" phenomenon keeps on spreading. Also check out pictures of Girls' Generation in Thailand (they're currently in Thailand for the Pattaya International Music Festival along with SHINee).

* 2AM's album was released YESTERDAY, that is why they are #1 and Super Junior "dropped" to #3.

According the results/charts at Hanteo, on the 13th (the day of their comeback) SJ surpassed all the other artists and rose to 30,000 (i dont exactly know what the 30000 is for) and on the 19th, the chart showed that SJ has dropped to below 5000 (where all the other artists were at on the 13th).

2Am has now taken over SJ’s #1 spot at Daily Kpop Hanteo, they are now in third place. (They still have #1 for RealTime Kpop)

At Mnet Top 7, SJ is still second to Davichi.

However, Reset (1), Angela(2) & Monster(4) are on Mnet Top 5 Real Time kpop Chart.


2.Super Junior’s title song “Sorry,Sorry” is being reported as a plagiarism of Britney Spear’s Womanizer and NeYo’s (??) (they say that the songs sound alike)

In addition, Davichi’s song “8282″ is also being reported as a plagiarism of “happy ending” by a British singer.

However, agencies of both SJ&Davichi have commented and said that “it is not true, and they’ve gone through the same feeling already and it caused a lot of trouble (??)
