KBS2TV’s new lawyer drama ‘Partner’

Originally, KBS2TV was going to have the fashion drama Magazine Allo take up the Wednesday and Thursday timeslot after the drama Accidental Couple finished its run in late June. However, due to legal reasons (go figure), Magazine Allo won’t see the light of day, at least not anytime soon, and the lawyer drama Partner will take its place.

Partner’s list of actors is nothing to spit at. It's cast includes Kim Hyun Joo, Lee Dong Wook, Choi Chul Ho, Honey Lee, Kim Dong Wook, and Shin Yi. It seems to be the classic run-of-the-mill lawyer drama with a “justice for all, I’m going to do the right thing always” type lawyer (Kim Hyun Joo) who’s partnered with an “I’ll defend you, as long as the check clears” type lawyer (Lee Dong Wook). The premise has been done to death over the years in countless movies and dramas from all sorts of different countries. It’s also easy to predict that Kim Hyun Joo’s and Lee Dong Wook’s characters are going to have the opposites who eventually attract relationship.

I’m not at all a fan of lawyer dramas but I’ll give this one a try since Honey Lee, one of the most beautiful women in the world, is going to be in it as well as one of my personal favorite comedic actresses, Shin Yi. Partner will air on KBS2TV’s Wednesday and Thursday night timeslot starting on the 24th of June.

I’ve been known to pull lawyer style tactics to get my way. If I ever had the chance to spend the night with the overly gorgeous Honey Lee, after hell froze over and pigs grew wings and learned how to fly, then I’d put my lawyer technique to use. Specifically, I would pull some Johnnie Cochran type maneuvers to get out of wearing a jimmy hat before we got down and dirty in the bedroom. “If the rubber doesn’t fit, you must bareback it.”
