So the leaked video & pics add up to this. Wonder Girls will be remaking FinkL's hit song Now through a music video for cell phone brand Ever in a TV CF that is to be released on the 4th.
Starting from Girls' Generation remaking Girls Generation by Lee Seung Chul and Big Bang remaking Lee Moon Sae's Sunset Glow, remakes for idol groups aren't new but remaking a music video is something unconventional. For this music video, JYP Entertainment has arranged the beat of the original to recreate into a Wonder Girls special, by including a dazzling dance and Yubin's strong rap. Through this music video Wonder Girls are breaking out of their fairy image to portray a more sexy, mature side.
This music video is a TV CF for Ever's newest product X-Slim Phone. A representative of EVER revealed “We utilized the black and white contrast of the Finkl’s NOW music video to emphasize the black and white tone of the X-Slim Phone” and added that “In order to accentuate the slim, refined design of our product so we changed it to give a futuristic feel and added scenes such as evading laser beams rather than entering a male actor's room.”
Until the CF's released, here's the original FinkL's Now. Although I wouldn't have minded watching Wonder Girls breaking into a hot male actor's house.
