Noonas who have refreshed Youtube for hours can just scroll down to comment, but for everyone else, SHINee has released their new mini-album "Romeo"! While many SHINee fans were disappointed with the single "Juliette", worries over the band's direction have been at least slightly relieved with the rest of the mini-album's quality.Track Listing:

Since "Juliette" has been released already, allkpop presents the five Romeos' other tunes (courtesy of tenerife10) - and boy, do they make you wish "Juliette" would just hurry up and stab herself with her "happy dagger".
With the release of this mini-album, Netizens are left with one burning question: why in the name of Groove Over Dose did they choose "Juliette", quite possibly the worst song on the album, as the first single? Compared to the rest of their mini-album, "Juliette" comes off as trite and completely unoriginal, which makes sense, as it's a remake of a song from a High School Musical alumnus. It seems SM was too cowardly to sway from the catchilicious formula that has brought them so many financial dividends , sacrificing originality and K-Pop progression for cold hard cash. You'll never become Charizard if you're too addicted to being the cute Charmander! I suppose you can't blame them for choosing guaranteed $$$ though - if fans eat it up, why fix what ain't broke? The K-Pop industry is a business that runs on profit, not musical evolution. Until there is some noticeable resistance to "look, we're catchy!" songs, we can't really expect companies to change their ways. So how do we balance out being a loyal fan and being a smart fan? Shrug.
But enough K-Pop philosophy. Enjoy the mini-album, and hopefully SHINee's live performances for "Juliette" will provide some solace for SHINee World members disappointed with the single selection.
