"Never thought that I would also meet with this", as Chae Yeon spoke about the leak of her new album Shake. Chae Yeon's new album Shake had been scheduled for release on 12th May and will see Chae Yeon making her comeback to the music scene after an absence of 26 months. Unfortunately for her, all the tracks from her new mini-album were leaked out onto the internet between 1st - 2nd May, leaving Chae Yeon and her company flustered ahead of her comeback.
Chae Yeon's management, CJ Medialine expressed, "We knew about the leaks from a tip-off from our China fans 2 days ago. But before we could take any measures, we realized that it was already out of our control. We have voiced our displeasure with the websites and blog owners who hosted the infringing materials but it's still being widely spread around the internet now. We are now investigating."
Album leaks have been happening pretty often lately, with Younha and Lee Junki being notable victims in recent memory. Both artistes had bought forward their album release dates to minimize possible losses. CJ Medialine has also decided to do likewise by bringing forward the mini-album release date from 12th to 6th May instead. Chae Yeon will thus have her comeback stage on Show! Music Core this Saturday, 9th May.
With Son Dambi more or less done with her Saturday Night promotions, many are waiting to see if Chae Yeon can step up and take her place.
